Hi,
In the "AWS Multi-Account Configuration Guide" it shows this picture:
When I follow the setup I only see:
I cannot expect my users to memorize account numbers. Is there a way to include the account name or a description next to the account number as shown in the guide, or is the picture from the guide inaccurate?

These numbers appear to be account IDs for AWS.
Please have a look over this documentation (https://docs.aws.amazon.com/IAM/latest/UserGuide/console_account-alias.html) where you'll find out how to create, edit and delete aliases for the accounts.
