App level attributes tagged to users not getting updated
Hi,
We have an implementation in which we are tagging user's attribute to another user's profile by using getLinkedObject and then we are using that value to map to app level attribute.
This seems to work fine when I check in the preview mappings section of the app -
, however when I actually look into User's profile the old value still exists-
I am not sure why its not getting updated when the profile mapping preview is able to pick up the correct value, strangely when I remove the value from user manually, the correct value gets auto-populated.
Any pointers to why this is happening and any possible remediation options would be highly appreciated

Thank you for posting on our portal.
Okta automatically triggers an update to an application when a change is made to the user object, but NOT when a change a made to any appUser object linked with that user, also when the accountId attribute(or any attribute) is changed for a user Okta will re-evaluate the mappings for that account only and NOT for the linked accounts as well.
When you remove the old value, the mapping are re-evaluated and this why it populates the new value.
