xspfj (xspfj) asked a question.
I've run into a few users at my organization who have been experiencing a strange bug where the native Mail and Calendar apps have begun creating duplicate accounts for their work email
Some background:
We enforce all devices with company data (email and the like) to be configured through Okta mobile and Okta Verify for 2FA. It is expected that a mail/calendar account is created when the work profile is installed on the device, but we were able to simply untick those boxed under Accounts and Passwords in the iOS settings app, but those have been broken out into separate Mail and Calendar settings before the iOS 14 update removed the Accounts & Passwords section in settings and configure their work email through the Outlook app.
The problem seems to be that duplicate mailboxes are popping up in the native mail app for some users lately- sometimes up to 14 instances of their work email, and duplicate notifications for each, with no option to remove without removing the mail app entirely. Has anyone else seen this?
