Could you be a little more specific as to which image you're referring to? Are you referring to the image that appears behind your login form? If so, by default, there is no image until you upload one in the Admin Dashboard under Settings -> Appearance
The image can be any size you'd like it to be as long as it is under 2MB in total filesize.
