As @k5fuw (k5fuw) had mentioned, there are lots of resources available to you that help you understand what services Okta can help you integrate in to your apps. From THIS ARTICLE, it mentions:
SAML is mostly used as a web-based authentication mechanism as it relies on using the browser agent to broker the authentication flow.
