Enforcing new password policies

Hey there,

I was just curious if anyone has any experience with editing + enforcing new password policies with Okta.

I want to change some of the password settings but i'm unsure what affect this will have on our end-users.

My question is basically this - If I change the password settings will it prompt all users to change their password in order to be compliant with the new settings? If not, is there a way to force all users to change their passwords?

Any help with the above would be much appreciated,

Thanks!

Changing or adding a new password policy won't force everyone to reset, as password policies are only evaluated at password reset time (see the Password Policy evaluation section here). However, you can expire all users' passwords, and they'd have to comply with the new policy when they reset them.
