Browser Plugin Question From Release Notes

I was hoping for clarification on this line in the new release notes. The way I interpret the note below is that Browser Plugin will not properly pop an application sign-in page unless the installed manually. That doesn't sound right to me.

Okta Browser Plugin, version 5.42.0

This version includes the following:

  • Sign-in pages are opened in a new tab only after a user installs the plugin manually, and are not opened if the plugin is installed through a group policy for Chrome, Firefox, Legacy Edge, and Chromium Edge.

  • Hello Mike,

This is specific to Browser Tabs. They will open in the existing Tab if installed through Group Policy.

    Hope this helps!

    Thanks!

    Tim
