Migrating from okta-jira authenticator to Jira Datacenter SSO 2.0

We're looking to migrate away from the okta-jira authenticator for Jira Datacenter due to the lack of support for Jira Service Desk SSO. Has anyone configured SSO using the Jira Datacenter built in SSO app called SSO 2.0? If so, do you need to create a new custom SAML app? How did you go about pointing this to the on prem Datacenter endpoint?

  • Hi Mike,

For this scenario it would be best to open a support case, as there are multiple variables to take into consideration for on-prem Jira environments. Though usually creating a fresh application within Okta, and updating the settings for the .conf and .xml file on the Jira server accordingly is the best route to take.

    Thank you,
