Error while adding http or https://localhost url in the token inline hook url section

Hi,

so I launched a tomcat server and hosted a json payload (REST server) to respond to the token inline hook request from Okta but I cannot seem to add the localhost URL to Token Inline hook URL section. I even added the localhost as one of the trusted origins but still it shows the same error. Is there a way I can work around this?

    Hello Sujoy,

I hope you are doing fine. This is Alejandro at Okta Technical Support. The behavior is expected as using localhost can cause issues when called. Mainly because the localhost is the general address that every computer has. As such it's highly advised to use the machines public IP to make sure that the hook will work correctly.

Please let me know if that works.

    Thank You,
