Can administrators force a self-service options reset?

We have a common issue where users no longer remember what email or mobile number they have configured for self-service password resets or unlocks, and/or have a new email or mobile number and have not updated that for self-service purposes. As a result, they cannot perform self-service and are forced to call our help desk.

In order to mitigate some of this problem, we would like to have our users all re-specify their secondary email address on their next login. Is there a technical way to accomplish this or something similar?

You can probably use API calls to clear the secondary email address field on all your user accounts, but Okta won't prompt anyone to enter a secondary email address again. The secondary email address and the forgot password SMS and Voice Call options are just that - optional. And outside of the new account registration process when Okta first prompts users to enter that information, it won't ask them again.

Yeah, I figured as much however was hoping someone else had come up with some sort of workaround or another feature perhaps we don't have. Thanks for the confirmation, though!
