User not receiving Okta Activation Email

Hi there,

 

Is there anyway to tell if an Okta activation email is being sent to a user? We deleted an Okta user and reimported them from AD. Their profile is mastered by Active Directory. The issue is they aren't receiving the activation email that comes from @mailrelay.okta.com. We checked our email filtering system and their activation email isn't being blocked by our spam filters. We double-checked that their profile had the correct SMTP email address that Okta has and it does.

    We raised a ticket and found out the issue was on Okta's end. Our user's mail address got put in Okta's spam filter list so it was no longer receiving emails from Okta. Once Okta removed the address from their spam filter we were able to confirm user receiving the Okta Activation Email.

    We have an identical scenario. We too have this situation; "We deleted an Okta user and reimported them from AD. Their profile is mastered by Active Directory". It would be helpful if we could get a log of where the activation email was going. System log doesn't show the email destination unless I'm looking at the wrong log.

    And in our case, no other users are having the issue (not in Spam either). Just the user that we deleted - and in our case we adjusted the destination email - and then reimported - just as with the original poster.
