mod6f (mod6f) asked a question.
I am a new user of Okta and in the process of adding the links to all our systems, one of these is for Office365. I have it successfully logging in users from an Okta group to Office365 via icons in the relevant users home page. I have also successfully setup email address re-writing so it converts real email address to the fake one used purely as user names in Office365.
We are not using Azure AD.
I have two issues. First we have some IT engineers who will do the admin of both Okta and Office365 I have setup a second group purely to provision these which also works. However there is no app icon shortcut in the Okta app options which is suitable for this purpose. Any suggestions or does Okta need to consider adding such an option? These IT users do not need Office365 itself only admin access so I don't want to give them licenses.
Second, some users who are real Office365 users with Office365 licenses and already downloaded and installed on their Mac laptop are after logging in to Okta and clicking on say - Word are being logged in to the Office365 site but then getting a message they don't have a license, they do! They already have Office365 installed as I stated. This is more an annoyance than anything, they do get shown the Office365 page with an option to download aka Install Office should they need e.g. a fresh laptop. Again an icon purely to let users access the Office365 portal would be useful. The app icons seem to be intended purely for launching web browser versions and are not working.

For the IT folks who are admins, you can give them the Office Portal Icon, which will allow them to jump into the admin center. I'm not aware of an app in Okta for O365 admin only, although it would be neat.
