cguers (Customer) asked a question.

Office 365 integration and required domains

Once the integration of Advanced MFA with Office 365 was done, a domain appeared in the Okta configuration like "okta.our-company.com" (where our-company.com is our domain, of course). Is this domain required? I am going through the documentation and I don't see any reference to this.

I appreciate any guidance on this.

Best to all!

Christian

Where do you see this domain - on the O365 tenant or in the Okta portal?

Jeff. I think we figured it out. Thanks for following up, though.

I was asking this question on behalf of a customer. It turns out that someone within their organization had created this DNS record (okta.company.com). It is a SPF-related TXT record. However, they really don't need that record as they are not using the subdomain okta.
