Seeing an Increase in the error "Invalid Credential"

Hello,

Our org uses cert authentication to access Okta and related apps/tools. Over the past week I have noticed a large spike in the event logs regarding the failure below.

Authenticate user via IDP

failure : Invalid Credential

 

Q:

What are the most likely causes for this error?

Is there a known solution? (Configuration or User Education)

 


  • I couldn't find anything specific regarding this. We recommend opening up a Support Ticket to be able to properly check the reason of the failures.
