MarcC.11837 (Customer) asked a question.

Okta Service Geolocation Restrictions

We have a requirement to use an Okta service instance in a particular location (Japan) to ensure that users' information is kept on servers residing in Japan. AWS has a data center in Japan. Is it possible to mandate the enablement of the Okta service in the AWS data center in Japan?

I think you need to use Datex services with OKTA. I am sure that will meet your requirements.

    • DataStealth (Datex) gives organizations the ability to tokenize and encrypt users’ PII locally, between users and service providers.
    • This enables customers to use Okta’s industry leading identity and access management tools, including Universal Directory, Single Sign-On (SSO), and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), even in regions where Okta does not have infrastructure.
    • DataStealth applies data protection policies to network traffic as it flows in real-time, to ensure organizations meet regulatory requirements.

Hope I understand the requirement correctly.
