Is it possible to send OTP instead of password reset link via Email for forgot password functionality?
We have both a mobile app and website and want our users to stay on the same platform where the forgot password request initiated. Password reset link would redirect users to web every time thus we want to implement OTP functionality similar to what is available for password reset via SMS.
Is there a way to achieve this or any alternate solution to achieve this behavior?

I'm a CSM here at Okta. Unfortunately at this time, a OTP cannot be sent for password reset. It is a planned feature of our Okta Identity Engine platform. You can view the Idea here: https://ideas.okta.com/app/#/case/114079?section=requests. I recommend upvoting the Idea and including any relevant specifics about your needs in the comments section! I'd also keep an eye out for announcements and documentation about OIE as it its testing and roll-out are planned for the next few quarters.
