vckys (vckys) asked a question.
We're using a custom SCIM to use ADP as Master. Unfortunately ADP and our Vendor aren't being overly cooperative with each other or us, so we're unable to get the "Preferred Last Name" field working. We're attempting to use a work-around to alleviate this constraint. We tried to create an Okta mastered attribute, `preferredLast`, in hopes to map that to the profile as the "Preferred Last Name". Unfortunately, there's no visible way to map a users lastName attribute to something inside the existing profile. When trying to modify the ADP Profile Mapping to include logic that looks for the attribute value on the Okta profile, it says "Attributes from the same profile cannot be mapped to each other."
Aside from setting up a custom ALM application just for this, does anyone else know if this is possible and if so how? Or even better, how to get that field working from ADP>Okta?

Hi Neil,
I suggest creating a case with our technical support team. They'll be happy to take a look at your use case and see if they can assist with a solution that works for you!
