Group Search Field - using keywords
Under Directory > Groups search field:
Currently:
When searching for a keyword (such as Sales), the search only returns our Active Directory and Office 365 groups, not our Okta groups.
Background: All our Okta groups have the naming convention of: "Okta - [Department] - [Job Function]."
Example: Okta - Sales - Customer Service
Can we have it set so that the Okta group search field searches by keywords instead of having to know the exact name of the group?
Hi Frea,
Unfortunately (as I'm sure you've observed) our group search will currently only produce results whose first word(s) matches the query you've entered. In your example, searching for "Okta" will produce "Okta - Sales - Customer Service" and any other group that begins with Okta, but searching for "Sales" will not present the same result.
Fortunately this has been submitted as an idea and has received enough votes to move onto the "Building" phase of our roadmap: https://ideas.okta.com/app/#/case/106932?section=requests.
