EmilyM.06913 (Customer) asked a question.

Okta RADIUS Agent for WiFi?

Can the Okta Radius agent, installed on a local Windows server, be used as a Radius server to authenticate Wireless AP clients on the same local network? I see some confusion as to the Radius Agent and the Radius App and whether Wireless can work at all?

I received the following response to an Okta support case I opened on this:

As the documentation in the following link mentions, Okta RADIUS application does not currently support WiFi infrastructure.

    https://help.okta.com/en/prod/Content/Topics/Security/Okta_Radius_App.htm

However, there is an ongoing feature request regarding implementation for WiFi support in the Okta Radius Application.

Hopefully this is a feature Okta releases soon. I know that JumpCloud already offers a fully cloud RADIUS for WiFi solution.

I'm interested in this, but last I had looked the Okta Radius Agent (or App)? wasn't supported for authenticating wireless clients? Did you see otherwise?

Thanks, I looked before replying and couldn't find that documentation again. I voted up the idea for the Wifi support. I'd seen that JumpCloud does support it. I think in an earlier look, I'd seen that Saaspass would do it as well.

I don't know if Okta has any plans to support RADIUS for WiFi, but you can sync Okta users with passwords into JumpCloud now. Then you can point your WiFi to JumpCloud Radius service for users authentication. This is not a perfect solution, but it should help you. Take a look at the following
