ability to remove profile mastering

I know you can remove individual fields from being profile mastered, but can this be done via user and application? I could not find out how if even possible.

Example:

BambooHr is profile master and syncing fields to okta and apps. I have one application where the username for that user is different from what is in bamboohr and okta. I would like to be able to change that users email only for that application. not for anyone else or any other application.

Yes, this is definitely possible. If you're doing this for only one user for one application (who is already group assigned): I would navigate to the user's profile, then under Applications click on the pencil icon next to the application you'd like to edit the email for.

If this is a new application assignment for the user, still navigate to the user's profile but click on 'Assign Applications' instead. Once you choose the option to assign the application you will be able to manually edit the attributes.

Both of these are for changing a single user only. If you need to do this for all users for a specific application I'm happy to help write the Okta Expression for your needs.
