We’ve received multiple report of this. One of the things that we found as a workaround to getting this re-enabled is following these steps:

First, log in to Okta on your computer. After you’re logged in, go to your name on the top-right, select Settings, and then scroll down to the Extra Verification section, select Reset next to Okta Verify Mobile App. Select Yes to revoke the old token. After that, you'll need to enter your password.

Scroll down to Extra Verification again and click Setup. At that point, delete Okta Verify on your phone and reinstall it. After it’s installed, re-enroll in Okta Verify, and this issue should be resolved.

If you prefer to wait until we release the fix, we plan to publish an updated version of Okta Verify to the Apple AppStore shortly. Once you update to the new version, you'll simply need to launch Okta Verify and it will correct this issue.

Let me know if this helps!

  • Hi Marty,

Are the notifications received on your watch after re-enrolling into Okta Verify?

For additional troubleshooting you can always open a support case with us.

    • icqcn (icqcn)

Even removed app and re-enrolled. Same behavior. Been this way since day one of beta back in June.

Same with me. Plus with iOS 13, I can't approve from the notification, must go into the app.

  • 7nebj (7nebj)

also i noticed in the watch app, there would be a place to approve but it says there are no accounts and to add one from the phone app... but there is no option in the phone app.

  • 9kwqn (9kwqn)

Now fixed for me within the last two minutes.

Originally, ditto on no approve option appearing on watch when I sent push notification. When I opened the watch app by going to it manually, the watch app said "No accounts. To get started open Okta Verify on your phone and add an account. "

I actually have three accounts on my phone. As an experiment, I deleted the two accounts I rarely use from the phone, then I went into the settings for my account at my organisation, looked around, and selected the option to edit my profile. At that point, I got an approval prompt on my watch. I then attempted to log into my organisation and again got the approve prompt on the watch. All now seems to be working. Don't know if it was attempting to edit my profile that did it, but worth a try for anyone else?

I still can't get push notifications to work with WatchOS 6.1.1 and IOS 13.3.

I have deleted, reinstalled, reenrolled, all to no avail.

    Thoughts?
