Office365 and anonymous mail from a third party

Hey All,

We have a desktop application that wants to automatically send out anonymous mail. Before we had okta, it integrated with office but now we get the following error when the application attempts to create anonymous email:

Email Send failure. The SMTP server rewquires a secure connection or the cleint was not authenticated. The server response was: 5.7.57, Client was not authenticated to send anonymous mail during MAIL FROM ({blah blah blah}.namprd21.prod.outlook.com)

Is there a way to allow certain computers segmented from our network to send anonymous mail? We have SAML turned on for O365

Every SMTP that is part of a federated Domain with Okta needs to have an account in Okta, otherwise it won't work.

If that is not an option, you can always move that SMTP to the onmicrosoft.com Domain that's not federated.
