Okta creates a security group to office 365 when using the push group , Okta should ahve feature when it can see the existing dlist and match to it or create a dlist instead of seurity groups . this is become a hassle for us as we got Okta in our environment to make Okta as source of identity and master and remove AD

100% agree. We attempted to use universal sync but it brings over EVERY group, not just DLs. We manage our DLs directly in the tenant.
For one, I've seen people requesting this feature online since 2016. It seems Okta has no intention of doing this.
And two, we would love to do distribution lists in the tenant, but there is no way to make dynamic distribution lists in the O365 tenant. You can do dynamic groups, which is awesome, but they come with a lot of overhead that you need to slim down if you're just looking for a distribution list.
