office 365 64 bit does not activate unless I login to outlook.office365.com via okta in IE portal.

I am having issues activating office 365 in a virtual environment. When I open outlook, it asks me for my login credentials, but I open IE and got to my user dashboard, click on my outlook-owa tile and login to my webmail, then open an office applications, it activates fine.

    Hello Oscar,

     

    You shouldn't need to create a session in the browser for the Outlook app to log you in as It is possible to provide your Okta credentials to Outlook if the O365 app is federated and assigned to you in Okta.

     

    If this is an issue, consider activating the O365 thick clients by following the link below:

    https://help.okta.com/en/prod/Content/Topics/Apps/Apps_O365_Silent_Activation.htm

      Thank you for your reply. We have opened a support ticket and we are currently working with the support engineer. I will update you once we get our issue resolved.
