TestO.40323 (Customer) asked a question.

Suppose SCIM API fails due to error on SP server. Does OKTA support retry calls in that case?

Suppose one service provider implemented SCIM integration. But that server is down due to some reason. So any provisioning API call will fail. How should be handled? Does OKTA retry the same API call again in case of error? Or should it be taken care of from the service provider side?

  • Greetings, thank you for bringing this up!

While the calls will not be retried automatically however, since you've mentioned Provisioning events specifically, any failures in this case will be recorded in the Okta Dashboard, will include error details and you will be given the option to manually select specific events or all events to retry the push.

Hope this helps and I wish you a great day!

    Thank You,
