GerwinP.73667 (Vektis.okta-emea.com) asked a question.

Override custom Sign-out URL

We have a custom Sign-Out page defined in our org. For some apps we like to override this, but redirecting does not seem to work. We use the UrlSpec https://[org].okta-preview.com/login/signout?fromURI=[route to other then custom page]

We keep ending up at the configured [default] Custom-Signout page at Org level.

Should this be possible ?

Are there restrictions (https on both, should be same domain as logged-in app) etc

Any help would be appreciated.

Can you expand on what you mean by overriding this for some apps?

There is an Okta session, and this is for the whole Okta org. When you sign out, you sign out of the entire Okta org and end the Okta session. You don't sign out of specific apps through Okta. So I'm not sure what you mean by overriding this for specific apps.

In any case, I'm genuinely not sure if the fromURI query parameter works with the sign out page. I think it doesn't. But if you can clarify the flow you're looking to achieve, there may be some other options that can be suggested.

    Hello Gabriel.

What we would like to achieve is when out application sign's out, we can set the 'redirectURI' within the logout command. We have a default page where we direct (set on the ORG level) so each logout ends up there. On some occasions we would like this to pe another page, but we keep ending up at the default.

  • Hello

This is Andrei from Okta support.

Related to your question it will be better if you will open up a support ticket.

I am asking this because a meeting will need to be set up in order to see the current configuration that you have and to see the behaviour as well.

    Thank you
