How to Display Widget for MFA Enrollment or MFA Challenge

My users will be authenticating using a service-to-service REST call. The result of that call may allow them to bypass MFA (if, for example, they are coming from in-network where MFA is not required), otherwise the auth request will return 1 of 2 statuses: MFA_ENROLL or MFA_REQUIRED. In that case, I would like to present the sign-in widget that shows either the MFA enrollment options or the list of enrolled factors for that user so that the user can provide the factor and proceed. However, I can't seem to figure out how to get those views rendered. The widget always shows the username and password fields. I do have access to the stateToken from the auth request and can get access to the transaction object. How can I get those other forms to display?

  • Hello

This is Andrei from Okta support. Related to your inquiry it will be better if you will open up a support case with us in order to provide you the best solutions to this issue. If you will open a case we will be able to review the current settings that you have and we can also schedule a meeting in order to get all the details.

    Thank you

    Andrei,

Thanks. I have actually been piloting Okta and working with one of your solution engineers. I was hoping to see what the Okta community was like and if I would get a response from the community. So I would rather not open a support case.

I'm curious if there is a way to do what I am looking for out of the box.
