What is the most restrictive permission I can assign so that I may see a registered end user's phone number within the OKTA admin portal?

Hello all. I was hoping someone would be able to assist with my inquiry. I require the ability to view an end user's registered MFA phone number within the admin portal while granting the most restrictive permissions. How can I accomplish this?

    Until Okta do some type of attribute level permissions, you will need to give yourself the Read Only Admin role, and then you can restrict it to a single App or group. This will allow you to see all base profile attributes for users assigned that app.

     

    You could also assign your end user to a group and then assign the group to an app. Then give yourself Read Only and limit it to the one group. This will limit you to only view the Okta profile of the single end user member of the group.

    The Okta user profile shows the primary and secondary phone numbers (if both are populated), but I don't think it exposes a phone number entered during enrollment in the SMS or Voice Call MFA factors. I'll have to experiment, but I'm not even sure it's visible through the API. Maybe someone from Okta can answer that question.
