2dll0 (2dll0) asked a question.
When configuring provisioning to Office 365/Azure AD via the Microsoft Office 365 integration, you are required to enter the username and password of a Global administrator of your Office 365/Azure tenant.
It seems that these credentials are then used for the provisioning (rather than being used to create application credentials or some kind of token that is then used for the provisioning) - correct?
How is the password stored?

Okta uses a highly secure key management service to protect an org’s sensitive data. The architecture comprises several key components, each with its own unique security mechanisms. Some application for provisioning will require a token along with Admin credentials, in Office 365 you will need to authenticate with Global Admin credentials to enable provisioning. For complete details for how does Okta store password you can check our OKTA SECURITY Technical White Paper https://www.okta.com/sites/default/files/Okta%20Technical%20Security%20Whitepaper.pdf
