Hi,
I have two apps on my Okta. App1 and App2.
There are two different sets of logins for App1 and App2. People groups are different for them.
I would like that whenever they ask for their passwords to be reset or their user activation mails are sent out, I would like that they have the email with the url of SAML SSO. Which variable should I use ?

You can include the application SAML URL or EMBED LINK to the Email under Settings > Email & SMS Customization, for your Email Templates.
Here is our guide for Email and SMS Options, that goes more in depth with the available options, and how you can extend and customize them using Customization Variables:

Is there any recent update to this?

This is not a real thing and those variables are not available under the email templates listed on that page.
I tried doing something like seen here

This is not allowed in emails so this is still not possible it seems.
