Currently Okta is being used for our onprem identity management, however we will be migrating across to 365 shortly and we would like to know the recommended process to get 365 working as well. (should we migrate everything first, then add okta, or should we ad okta first then migrate mailboxes across?) those kinds of things.

Hi Marin,
We would recommend finishing the migration and once it`s done federate the O365 tenant with Okta, so you will not use a hybrid deployment. which is harder to maintain.

If there are more details required I would recommend opening a support ticket where a call/meeting can be scheduled and your questions and concerns can be addressed.
