BenB.81237 (Customer) asked a question.
Hi, my name is Ben Bullock and I'm a Software Engineer working at Microgen Financial Systems.
I have been tasked with identifying a suitable identity provider for our SaaS based portal.
I'm currently evaluating your product and it's ticking all the boxes so far! However, I'm unable to set up email domain whitelisting on sign-up.
To give more context...
When a user signs up and requests access to our portal, we'd like their email domain (i.e. @microgen.com) to be validated against a whitelist.
If the domain is in the whitelist, continue with sign up and send the verification email.
If the domain is not in the whitelist, don't send the verification email. Instead, notify the user that their request will be reviewed by Microgen and inform Microgen.
Do you support something like this?
I hope this makes sense.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Thanks,
Ben Bullock

Hello Mr. Bullock,
We are glad to hear that Okta managed to meet most of your requirements.
You have made yourself perfectly clear, I understand what you are referring to however at this moment users can sign-up with any desired email as long as it's not is use. We do have a feature that allows self-service registration in which you can manage what fields, password policy and email verification requirements you want to apply to your registration experience.
However this feature is in the Early Access / Beta program at the moment which means there is time for improvements and changes to be applied to it until it reaches full production. Therefor, we have a place where our customers can share their ideas and based on it's score or how helpful, relevant, etc is to implement, it could be accepted. The website where you can do this is: https://support.okta.com/help/s/ and if you sign in, there will be a section called 'Contribute to Ideas'.
Hope you find this helpful.
Kind regards,
Veniamin-Dorin Melnic
