Question on switching from AD delegated authentication to okta authentication for users.
what does the 'create okta password' option do?  Will users need to create a password in okta, or will it set their password automatically to their current AD password?  I want to make this switch seamless to users, so their password is already set to their current AD password, and they don't need to do anything.0EMF00000009QLO

  • When you disable AD, Users will become Okta mastered users. Okta does not sync passwords from AD. So when you say Create Okta password, Okta will send email to end users to set their Okta password.
  • fkiln (fkiln)

What happens if we we had the AD integration together with passwordsync and then change to Okta Auth? I assume we then can chose "Dont create Okta Password" and the users will have the same passowrd as before?
