SharePoint (On Prem) profile picture is not displayed if the MySite web application is different than the portal
I'm trying to show a profile picutre on a SharePoint 2013 web application but the mysites are on a different web application. The issue is that the user is not authenticated to the mysites web application and the picture doesn't show. If the user navigates to the mysites web application and then goes back to the portal site the image shows up. Is there a way to load a hidden iframe to authenticate to a separate web application for SharePoint 2013?
