  • My name is Andrei with Okta Support and I'll see if I can provide some answers to your questions:

-Will there be any updates to the Okta Firefox plugin to support multiprocess?

I can't say with certainty, I haven't found any mention of this on our roadmap for the Browser Plugin - it may be implemented, though if you believe the functionality would be a good addition, then you can create a Feature Request for it. This can be done on the Okta Community portal by using the 'Feedback' option at the bottom of the Okta admin console.

-Will you have it converted into a webextension for compatiblility with Firefox 57?

This is on the roadmap, so I can say with certainty that Okta is already planning on doing so, however there is no ETA for when it will be implemented.

    Thank You,

Firefox 57 has been in beta for 2 weeks already and will be the latest stable version on November 14th.

The extension has been marked as 'legacy' and automatically disabled. An update of the extension to make it at least usable again would be something

With edge support not ready yet and firefox about to disable okta plugin in production. IE and google chrome are now the only options. Please hurry fixing one or both.

This will be a significant issue for many in my company. Firefox has automatic updates enabled by default, so if users do not turn off this feature then they will be unable to use Okta in Firefox after November 14. Our work requires multiple browsers, so it is common for us to have Chrome and Firefox open simultaneously - after this update we will be unable to have this workflow.

The plugin history shows a new version is GA but it is not availble for download. What is the deal????

I just downloaded the plugin again from my Okta home page and it installed in the Beta channel ver 57.0b12. Now I have all the features. It seems they just did not have an auto-update option, just had to download.

Awesome, thanks for making sure this was updated prior to the release, that makes it much easier for us!
