How to bulk remove users from applications
I want to remove the Yammer app now that authentication is going via Office365. Simply clicking deactivate does not seem to remove the app from users' screens and is causing confusion. I can't seem to see a way to bulk remove/deprovision users (I have over 100, am sure many companies have more but 100 is enough for me not to want to do this on an individual basis). Am I missing something? Please point me in the right direction.

Thanks

  • Once the app is deactivated, the users should be deprovisioned from the app.  Since they were not, you could reactivate the app and then deprovision the users/groups assigned to the app and then deactivate the app.

How did you assign the application to the end users via group assignment or individual assignment?

Here is a KB article about Deprovisioning Task - https://support.okta.com/help/articles/Knowledge_Article/27597016-Using-the-Deprovisioning-Task-Manager

Depending on how you assigned the app to your end users will determining how you can bulk remove the application.

If you used a group assignment you can unassigned the Group, you used to assign the application. This should remove the application from all users associated with the group membership.
