When using an on-prem Office Online Server 2016 with on-prem SharePoint 2016 with Okta, does OOS need to be an Okta application?

Office Online Server 2016 (aka Office Web Apps [OWA]) will need to pull files for edit and display from the on-prem SharePoint 2016 environment, which is to be connected to Okta. My question is, does the Office Online Server, which has a separate URL with a different host name from SharePoint, need to be registered as an Okta application? SharePoint will be for https://mysharepoint.example.com and OOS will be https://myoos.example.com. I know I have to register my SharePoint with Okta, but does my OOS also need to be registered?

Hi Roberto,
We need to gather more information regarding how OWA pulls, edits and displays from sharepoint on-prem 2016. Documentation wise there is no indication that they should both integrated into Okta.
To go more into details regarding this; I would suggest submitting a support ticket.
