How to remove "Request APP" from the Application search box
Hi Experts,

Currently we have published few apps in Okta, but users are searching some other apps and they are click on Request an app button if they didnt find the app. Is there any way to hide that button?

Note: Okta Home footer is already in disabled state

  • In a sense, the option to request an app cannot be explicitely disabled, but you can change the behavior.  If you have enabled the self-service option for users, they will instead be presented with an option to "Search App Catalog".  This will bring them to another page where they can search for apps to add that you've configured in self-service.  However, if they are unable to find the desired app, the results of the search will show an option to contact an admin.  In that case, the user will be presented with a prompt to provide the information for the app they want and this will send you an email, just as in the case where a user clicks to request an app.

If this functionality is not desirable for you, I'd recommend putting in a feature request a way to disable it.

My company would very much like to disable as we are heavily promoting a Service Portal-only ticketing process, but this allow users to bypass that. How do I put in a feature request?

Is there already a Feature Request ? Where can i Upvote ?

I am in the same vote. I have users that are trying to get access through Okta instead of normal support channels.
