Plugin Silent install results in progress bar
Following:

https://support.okta.com/help/Documentation/Knowledge_Article/Silently-install-the-Okta-browser-plugin-using-policy-settings-1980314228

Tried both the okta.swa.ie-5.11.0 exe and msi with the /q switch (also tried /qn). Progress bar briefly popups. Is there anyway to supress the progress bar also for a truely silent install?

  •  Hi Brad,

Thank you for contacting Okta. As mentioned in the article you provided, the way we silently install the Okta browser plugin is through the use of GPO, and during that time, no dialog boxes should appear that require user interaction and users cannot change the installation settings.

For Internet Explorer you have several installation options, but for a silent install, you will need to whitelist your installations and then use the following command line parameters to run the installer in silent mode: okta.swa.ie-x.x.x.exe /q  or  okta.swa.ie-x.x.x.msi /q (in your case okta.swa.ie-5.11.0.exe(msi) /q ).

If you still encounter any issues installing the Okta browser plugin for Internet Explorer, please feel free to open a case with Okta Support.

    Thank you,

    Daniel
