Okta SAML integration with Webex and Webex Tools
Hello,

 

I am trying to find out if integrating Okta SAML with Webex will cause issues with the Webex Tools (Desktop and Outlook).  Our users rely heavily on the Webex tools and I am worried that the SAML integration will break this or cause issues.  The reason for my concern is that we use Mimecast and when I applied SAML it broke the Mimecast outlook plugin.  I reached out to Mimecast and they said that the plugin isn't designed to work with SAML, so I am worried that other apps may be the same?

 

Does anyone have experience with this?

    The WebEx Productivity Tools work fine with SAML and SSO. The login flow can be a little complex for users but once they are logged in it works like normal. Also, users may have to reauthenticate once SSO is enabled.

    Hello Bryce/Braden,

    We have integrated Webex with Okta and we are able to single sign on to webex if we go to the okta dashboard. Ont he other hand, we are now trying to integrate Okta SAML with Webex Productivity tools. Our issue is that we are able to schedule meeting via Webex productivity tools but users are not being routed to Okta if they choose to book Webex meeting via Outlook.

    Just curious to find out if you had same issue and if yes, how did you overcome it? Any details on how the login flow is working fo ryou would be very helpful?
