Microsoft Azure as Master for Okta
Hi

I'm looking at options to have Microsoft Azure as master for Okta where there is no on-premise AD domain.

The use case is for Okta to act as a meta-service or IDaaS broker for a number of identity providers and reduce complexity in the environment. The other identity services are covered, but I can see no ready solution to getting profiles from a standalone Azure tenant into Okta.

One route might be to leverage Azure Domain Services and run up a Okta agent within that domain, but that doesn't feel like the correct route.

  • Hi Niall,

    Thanks for contacting Okta!

You can setup your directory/ADFS as IDP and Okta as a service provider. Please check this article; it covers IDP to Okta scenario:

If you run into issues or have specific questions; I would recommend creating a support ticket with us to discuss it with engineers.
