JSON value in SAML attribute
Greetings,

We were trying to use valid JSON as an attribute value on "Edit SAML Integration" page but then SAML flow crashes with Internal Server Error on Okta side. It only works if we encode JSON into Base64.

I didn't find anything about possible SAML attribute value formats on https://developer.okta.com/reference/okta_expression_language/index

So is it a bug or a feature? 🙂

Cheers

Eugene

  • Thank you for reaching out to Okta Support, my name is Adrian and I'll be handling your case.

You should be able to add a value for the Attribute Statements / Group Attribute Statements by using the expressions mentioned in the article that you gave us. However in order to properly see if this is a bug or not I recommend opening a support ticket with us so that we can properly investigate this situation.
