device trust / Edge cert prompt

Hi All:

Is anyone using device trust for Windows?  I have been attempting to use it for months now with issues going back to development.  The latest is a certificate prompt in Edge when device trust is being checked. (Chrome and IE work fine)  All indications say its the way the certificate is imported in the device registration task - which is now a P2 priority for Okta development, but they won't get to it till end of June.  Has anyone found a work around outside of exporting, converting to pfx, and reimporting without that flag?  We have too many devices to do this on.

  • Hi Alan,

We are still investigating this issue under ticket OKTA-174261. While this is not yet tested our engineering team believes that this could be a windows build version issue. The build version that was confirmed to have the same issues was 1511. The one on which there were no problems reported was 1803. Try to see if you can update to that build and if it has any effect. Additionally you can always create a support ticket to get more information and continue troubleshooting.

    Thank you,

    Florin.
