A Tech Candidate's 6-Step Guide to Getting Ahead in 2023

In 2022 the tech industry was riddled with uncertainty. While job candidates have little control over the continued uncertainty into 2023, power (and confidence) come from knowledge.

Where should tech candidates invest their energy to set themselves up for employment opportunities in 2023? Data is showing “Identity and Access Management (IAM)” and “Security” as two skills tech candidates can bet on in the year ahead.

Coursera has identified “Security” as the #1 in-demand IT skill to boost your resume in 2023. VentureBeat also listed “Security” and “Identity and Access Management” among its list of hottest IT skills for 2023 — even in a recession. The US Bureau of Labor predicts that some cybersecurity jobs will grow 35% through 2031, much faster than the national average for all occupations.
