At Okta, we’re committed to simplifying identity governance and enhancing security for our customers. Customers currently use Okta Access Certifications to certify access across apps, users, and groups, often as a compliance-driven function.

Today we’re excited to announce a new feature for Okta Access Certifications: Preconfigured campaigns. With preconfigured campaigns, now available as part of self service Early Access, Okta provides OIG customers with the ability to easily initiate access review campaigns with just one click. These campaigns are designed to proactively target an organization’s highest-risk users by addressing critical governance and compliance needs, reducing software license costs, and enhancing security.



We have introduced two preconfigured campaigns:

1. Discover Inactive Users - WIth the “Discover Inactive Users” preconfigured campaign, the five apps with the most inactive users are automatically added to a campaign. This enables admins to target these specific users who can be deprovisioned from the app. Benefits include improvement of overall security through enforcement of the principle of least privilege, cost savings through recapture unused software licenses, and increased efficiency through the automated identification of inactive users across key applications.
2. Okta Administrator Review - “Okta Administrator Review” allows admins to easily create a campaign to certify all Okta admins, ensuring access to a highly privileged resource is minimized as much as possible. Benefits include increased security by minimizing the amount of privilege access in your Okta environment, and ability to quickly meet compliance requirements through the review of privileged access.

Future Enhancements

Preconfigured campaigns is now available to all OIG customers as part of self service Early Access, with general availability (GA) planned for January 2025.
