When assigning a user to Workday, the following error is encountered:
Automatic provisioning of user <username> to app Workday failed: Unable to find Workday user by username: Username <username> not found, import from workday first

Allow Profile Sourcing for the Workday integration is enabled. As a result, users must be imported from Workday instead of being assigned to the application within Okta.
- Navigate to the Workday Okta Application.
- Click Assignments.
- Unassign the User(s) in question.
- Click the Import Tab.
- Click on Import Now.
- Use the Search field to locate the User and then Confirm the User for Import.
- Depending on the import settings, the user may be Auto-Confirmed once the import is completed.
- Check the Assignment tab to confirm that the User has been assigned to the Application.
- Create a new SAML Workday app for SSO only:
- From OIN or using the App Integration Wizard (AIW). For steps in creating the app, please see Create SAML app integrations and How to Configure SAML 2.0 for Workday.
- Import all users from Workday.
- Create a new SWA Workday integration for provisioning only.
- Assign the new SWA Workday integration only to the users needing provisioning. Please see Create SWA app integrations - Task 1: Launch the Wizard.
- Hide the provisioning Workday integration from the end user dashboard.
