Overview
When the user tries to log in with FastPass on Windows, the login will loop. Event Viewer will show similar errors, such as:
Detected cross logon session request from 0, current session is 1
Applies To
- Okta Identity Engine (OIE)
- Okta Verify for Windows
- Okta Verify FastPass
Cause
This is the expected behavior because session 0 is the service session. For security reasons, Okta Verify will deny the logon request from session 0 when Phishing resistance is enabled.
Solution
To identify the root cause, please check the following:
- Check if there is no proxy server in the environment.
- Disable security tools temporarily to check if it affects them or not.
