This article describes the behavior when the Application Sign-in policy is configured with "Prompt for factor": "Once a day."

Solution
When the app sign-on policy is configured with Prompt for Factor: Once a day, the user will see the MFA prompt with the checkbox, Do not challenge me on this device for the next 24 hours.
Users can tick the box so that there is no MFA prompt for 24 hours when accessing the application.
