This article is intended to help verify whether the Desktop Device Trust has been migrated to an upgraded Okta Identity Engine (OIE) org.
- Devices
- Okta Identity Engine (OIE)
- Upgraded to OIE
- Device Trust / Device Integrations
To verify that Device Trust Classic was migrated over from Classic to OIE Org:
- Log in to the Okta Admin Console via the OIE Tenant.
- Under Security, select Device Integrations. Device Integrations is the new name for Device Trust in OIE.
- Go to the Endpoint management tab. The [macOS/Windows] Classic Device Trust configuration should be visible and show as "Active".
NOTE:
- Below is the order in which Okta checks for Managed Device Context:
- Okta Verify.
- MTLS (As long as classic upgraded platforms are still ACTIVE).
-
- See Org Summary - Device Trust Desktop Registrations for more information.
-
- The configurations migrated from Classic are not editable.
- There is no need to delete the MTLS certificate. Leave it there until it expires.
- The Classic Certificates do not need to be revoked from the end-user devices.
