Values Not Updating Automatically when Mapping an Attribute Directly from App to App

Overview
Sometimes it is required to map attributes directly from an AppUser profile to another AppUser profile to simplify the flow in which the attributes are getting mapped. The issue appears when updating the attribute from the source AppUser, as it will not get pushed to the target AppUser.

Cause
Okta does not officially support App to App attribute mappings as an update to the mapping will be done only when an Okta profile update is done.
Solution
To resolve this issue, use the Okta user profile for synchronization between apps. This helps ensure that the data is successfully synchronized. The data flow starts from the source application which will update the data on the Okta user profile. The data from the Okta user profile will then get pushed to the target app user profile and the application itself.
